Solid Surface is a material used for making countertops. It's also often referred to as "Corian". This is based on Corian, the company that came up with the concept. This material is highly suitable for installation, in areas that require a lot of water usage. This is because it's poreless, and doesn't let any water pass through. So there's no mold, fungus, or algae on Solid Surface products. It's also seamless, and can be shaped into any required form. That's why it's often used for making water sinks, and countertops. Corian countertops have been a norm for years now.
Another benefit of this material, is it's low maintenance. Due to its seamless and poreless nature, it's also easier to clean. Solid Surface can be given various colors and textures. It can even take the appearance of granite or marble. Even with all that, it's affordable and superb for mid-range buyers as well.
The term "vanity", refers to bathroom cabinets. The general concept for it, is the storage providing cabinetry that's beneath(/that surrounds) the bathroom sink.
